My Creative Space

My Creative Space today is to sew on ribbons to ballet shoes for a friends daughter. I'm the friend who can sew so I have done this before for a few friends. The start of a new year, exams , competitions and recitals are when my 'new ballet shoe ribbon sewing skills' are called upon.
I'm glad to be able to help out my friends as it takes no time at all and they are ever so grateful. It's nice to be of help even if it is only in a small way. Hope you all have a successful creative day today!

  1. Awesome work Jos, I know sometime for a lot of people it is those little things like sewing those new ribbons on that would never get done unless someone close by just quickly did it. I think your right, I am sure your friends rreally appreciate it. Great work Love Kath

  4. Oh how I would love to sew ribbons on my girl's ballet shoes. Growing up my Mum couldn't sew to save herself and my ribbons were always coming off. I'm sure your friend is pretty grateful to have your skills to call on.

  6. Not only that, you get to tick things off lists and feel all craftily useful! Excellent.

  7. Hehehe, you're "the friend who sews", at school I was "the girl who draws" so I was begged by usually hostile forces to draw them pictures for their projects... I did it much less gracelessly that you... if gracelessly is a word....

  11. Ooh this brings back memories of my mum sewing ribbons on our ballet shoes as kids. Do they always fall off so easily???

  12. I'm the "friend who makes meringues." I think I'd rather be the friend who sews...

  13. What a nice task to do! I have two boys so I'm a little envious of the pink ballet slippers - so pretty! :D
